Mackay M148151 Single Shear V-Shaped Generator Isolator, Duro 45, 5 kg

The Mackay single shear V-shaped isolator (listed by Mackay as the single V-shaped, small engine isolator) is made of two symmetrically tilted metal parts with a screw on each side. Mackay says this makes installations more elastic than with cylindrical or bobbin mounts, giving a lower frequency and better vibration isolation (manufacturer-stated).
Four variants are listed: two sizes (weights 0.1 and 0.2 kg) in Duro 45 and Duro 60, with loads of 5 to 90 kg and 5 to 9 mm static deflection. Mackay says they provide vibration attenuation of above 90% in diesel or petrol single-cylinder engines running at 3000 rpm (manufacturer-stated).

Selecting the right option
Choose the size first, then the Duro: the smaller parts (M148151 and M148153) carry 5 and 15 kg, the larger parts (M148171 and M148173) carry 43 and 90 kg. Mackay says stability is better when two are installed symmetrically opposed, so work out the load each one carries. Check the M8 screws and the dimension table against your engine feet and chassis.
