Shin-Yain SY16524 Drill Chuck Arbor, BT 40, JT6

The Shin-Yain drill chuck arbor has a 7:24 shank at one end and a Jacobs taper at the other. The Jacobs taper end takes a drill chuck with a matching JT bore, so a drill chuck can be mounted on a machine with an NT(ISO) or BT spindle.

Six models are available. NT(ISO) 30 comes with JT3 or JT6 and an M12 x 1.75 thread, and NT(ISO) 40 comes with JT3 or JT6 and an M16 x 2.0 thread. BT 30 (JT6, M12 x 1.75) and BT 40 (JT6, M16 x 2.0) are also available.

Match the shank (NT(ISO) or BT, and the size) to your spindle and the JT number to your drill chuck. Overall lengths are 111, 117, 138 and 175 mm depending on the model.

Selecting and fitting

Check the shank (NT(ISO) or BT) and size against your spindle, and the JT number against your drill chuck. The thread size depends on the shank size: M12 x 1.75 for 30 and M16 x 2.0 for 40.
