Precision Imperial Square Key Steel 1 x 1 in | KS1X1

This Precision Brand metric square key steel comes in 13 sizes and is supplied in 300 mm lengths, with the size marked on each piece. The sizes are 4 x 4, 5 x 5, 6 x 6, 7 x 7, 8 x 8, 10 x 10, 12 x 12, 14 x 14, 16 x 16, 18 x 18, 20 x 20, 22 x 22 and 25 x 25 mm. This listing also includes part KS1X1, a 1 x 1 in imperial square size in C1018 low carbon steel, supplied in 12 in (305 mm) lengths.

The key steel is cold drawn C1020 to C1045 steel, plated for rust prevention and gold dichromated for easier identification. Most dimension tolerances are oversized, so the key fits tightly in the keyway for positive, zero backlash power transmission.

Match the key to the keyway on your shaft and hub, using the size in the options table. Square key steel suits a keyway where the width and height are equal. Imperial and metric keyways are not interchangeable, so check the unit on your shaft. Key steel is supplied in 300 mm lengths and is cut to the length you need.
