The Sutton M302 is a square M42 CoHSS tool bit range in 15 sizes from 3/16" to 1", in 2-1/2" to 7" lengths. They are made from M42 cobalt high speed steel (CoHSS) and have a bright finish.
Can withstand high cutting speeds and is especially suited to production turning of high alloy steels and other materials. The square section is ground to the shape and used as a cutting tool for turning and machining. Sizes are quoted in inches, with metric equivalents in the size table.

Using the tool bits
- Choose the size that fits the tool holder or toolpost slot, with the cutting end clear of the holder.
- Grind the cutting geometry to suit the material being turned.
- Keep the overhang from the holder as short as the job allows.
