Choosing a valve lockout
Start with the valve type and the part you are locking. Ball valve lockouts hold the lever, gate valve lockouts go over the handwheel, and butterfly valve lockouts are matched to the butterfly operator. Then measure the handle or handwheel and pick the size range that covers it. The adjustable ball valve devices suit sites with a mix of valve sizes, while the fixed-range devices are listed for specific size bands.
