Choosing a belt
Start with the belt you are replacing. The section or part number is usually marked on the belt, and it must match the pulley groove or teeth. A V-belt must suit the pulley section (for example A, B, SPA, SPB or 3V), a timing belt must suit the tooth profile and pitch (for example 8M, 8MGT or XL), and a micro-V belt must match the rib count and section.
Then check the length and width you need on the product page. If you are not sure, measure the old belt or send us the pulley sizes and centre distance.
Always check the data sheet. Confirm the section, length and rating suit your drive before ordering.

Belt FAQs
What types of belt do you supply?
V-belts, timing belts, Poly Chain GT carbon belts, micro-V belts, variable speed belts, link belts, round belts, lawn and garden belts, and automotive belts including timing belts and kits.
How do I identify the belt I need?
Check the markings on the old belt for the section and part number, then match it to your pulleys. If the markings are worn, measure the belt and pulley groove or send us the drive details.
What is the difference between a V-belt and a timing belt?
A V-belt runs in the groove of a V-pulley. A timing belt has teeth that engage with a toothed pulley, so the belt and pulley run in time.
Do you have fire resistant anti-static V-belts?
Yes. PIX FRAS fire resistant anti-static V-belts are listed in A, B and C sections. Check the data sheet for the rating before specifying one.
Do you have automotive belts?
Yes. We list Gates micro-V ribbed belts, automotive XL V-belts, timing belts in a range of widths, timing belt kits and CVT drive belts.
