This AAP brass swing check valve has a brass body, bonnet and hinge pin nut and female threaded ends. It is supplied in 9 sizes from 1/2 in (15 mm) to 4 in (100 mm).
A swing check valve lets liquid flow through in a nearly straight line, like a gate valve, and stops it flowing back. A disc hangs on a hinge, so forward flow swings it open and reverse flow swings it shut against the seat. AAP says this type is commonly used on pipelines moving liquid by gravity or by pump. AAP does not state which mounting positions the valve suits, so confirm the orientation with AIMS if the valve is not going in horizontal pipework.
AAP gives a maximum working temperature of 200 degrees C and a cold working pressure of 1,380 kPa (13.8 bar), with a thread to AS 1722.1, and lists the valve for oil and water (all manufacturer-stated). AAP lists the body, bonnet and hinge pin nut as brass and does not list the disc or seat material. Its brass is not stated to be dezincification resistant, so check suitability before you use it on drinking water supply.

Choose the size to match your pipe thread. AAP also lists spring check valves in brass, and a stainless steel swing check valve for corrosive duty.
