Loctite 51606 Heavy Duty Anti-Seize 510g

Loctite LB 8009 Heavy Duty Anti-Seize (part 51606) is a grey, non-curing paste based on graphite and calcium fluoride. It is free from lead, copper, sulphur and their compounds, and contains no free metals.

Henkel lists it for bolts, screws, studs, pipe joints, nuts, plugs and bushings, and for heat exchangers, dies, shear blades and mechanical packings. It is compatible with stainless steel and other nickel alloys.

Using it

Make sure the mating surfaces are clean and free of grease.

Apply a thin coating to the mating surfaces and assemble. Do not thin the product.

Torque follows T = K x F x D, where K is the torque coefficient, F the clamp force and D the bolt diameter. Use a dust mask when grinding or wire brushing.

Storage and handling

Store the unopened container in a dry location, optimally between 8 °C and 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect the properties of the product.

Limits and safety

Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidisers. Read the safety data sheet before use.
