Loctite LB 8151 Silver Grade Anti-Seize Aerosol 340g

Loctite LB 8151 Silver Grade is an anti-seize spray for threaded connections exposed to high temperatures. It is a grey formulation of mineral oil, lithium soap, aluminium, graphite and extreme pressure (EP) additives, supplied in a propane/butane aerosol.

Henkel names the exhausts of combustion engines, fittings, and oil and gas burners as typical applications, with a typical operating range of -30 °C to +900 °C. There is nothing to cure.

Selecting the right option

Silver Grade is also supplied as a paste: see Loctite LB 8150 Silver Grade Anti-Seize. Henkel recommends a Loctite cleaner to prepare the parts first; see Loctite SF 7063 General Purpose Cleaner - 400ml Aerosol.

Using it

Clean the parts first. Henkel recommends Loctite 7063 or 7070 cleaner to remove oxides and lubricant residue.

Shake the can thoroughly and spray from about 15 to 20 cm to give a uniform film. There is nothing to cure.

Storage and handling

Highly flammable: store in line with regulations. Keep the container unopened and dry, away from oxidisers and combustibles, optimally between 8 °C and 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect the properties of the product.

Limits and safety

Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a lubricant for chlorine or other strong oxidisers. Henkel states the technical data are intended as reference only. Read the safety data sheet before use.
