The Loctite Imperial O-Ring Splicing Kit lets you build replacement O-rings on the spot from nitrile rubber cord in imperial sizes. It is a handy emergency kit for inch-based and imported equipment, so you are not stuck waiting when the right ring is not in stock. Joints made with the Loctite instant adhesive resist water and oil and are as strong as the rubber itself. This is the imperial kit.
Square both cord ends, add a small amount of adhesive to one end and hold them firmly together in the jig, and the splice is ready in seconds. Use the finished rings on static seals only, and not in oxygen, chlorine or strong oxidiser service. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
