Loctite 401 Prism Instant Adhesive 3g

The Loctite 401 Surface Insensitive Instant Adhesive (formerly 401 Prism) is a one-part, low-viscosity ethyl cyanoacrylate for fast assembly of difficult-to-bond materials. It fixtures in under 5 seconds on steel and most plastics and rubbers, reaches 20 N/mm² lap shear strength on grit-blasted steel and fills gaps up to 0.15 mm. It also bonds porous materials such as wood, leather, paper and fabric, and with SF 770 primer it bonds PP, PE and PTFE. Available in 3 g, 25 ml and 100 g.

Use it sparingly on one clean, dry surface and press the parts together — moisture in the air does the rest, although full chemical and solvent resistance takes 24 hours, and an activator should only be used where large gaps slow the cure, as it can lower final strength. Store unopened product at 2°C to 8°C, and keep it out of pure oxygen, oxygen-rich systems and contact with strong oxidisers. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use.
