Sutton T208 M20 x 2.5 Spiral Flute Tap R50 VA PM IK - PM-HSSE V3 - TiCN - DIN 376

The Sutton T208 is a spiral flute tap (R50 spiral, VA PM designation, internal coolant) for metric coarse (M) threads, made from powder metallurgy, vanadium grade high speed steel (PM-HSSE V3) with a TiCN coating. This listing covers 5 sizes from M12 x 1.75 to M20 x 2.5.

The 50° right-hand spiral flute suits blind holes in long chipping materials: the high helix angle curls the chips and transports them back out of the hole. The tap cuts on reversal, so the flutes have rake on both front and back faces. The VA PM designation is for stainless and tough steels, with the VA geometry in powder metal high speed steel. The chamfer is Form C (2.5 x P), generally for blind holes.

The thread tolerance is 6HX. The tap is built to DIN 376: reduced shank with square drive. The internal coolant duct (IK) delivers coolant through the tap to the cutting zone.
