Loctite SF 770 Polyolefin Primer 100ml

Loctite SF 770 (known as Loctite 770) is a primer for Loctite cyanoacrylate (CA) adhesives. It is based on an aliphatic amine and makes polyolefins and other low-energy surfaces bondable with Loctite CA adhesives.

It suits difficult-to-bond materials: polyethylene, polypropylene, PTFE and thermoplastic rubber. Apply it by spraying, brushing or dipping at ambient temperature, then bond within 8 hours.

Choosing the right option

Pair Loctite SF 770 with a Loctite cyanoacrylate adhesive, such as Loctite 406 Instant Adhesive for Plastics and Rubbers or Loctite 460 Low Odour Low Bloom Instant Adhesive 25ml.

Using it

Apply by spraying, brushing or dipping at ambient temperature. Bond within 8 hours of priming.

Handle as a highly flammable material. Check the safety data sheet for handling and storage.

It is not recommended for easy-to-bond substrates.

Storage and handling

Store unopened in a dry location, optimally between 8 °C and 21 °C. Storage below 8 °C or above 28 °C can adversely affect the properties of the product.

Limits and safety

Not recommended for assemblies that need high peel strength, or for easy-to-bond substrates. Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxygen-rich systems, or as a sealant for chlorine or other strong oxidising materials. The solvent can affect certain plastics or coatings, so check compatibility first. Read the safety data sheet before use.

It is not recommended for assemblies where high peel strength is required.
