The AIMS Welding Supplies Range

Our welding range covers the core consumables and accessories for TIG, MIG, and stick (SMAW) welding processes.

• TIG Welding Rods (ER316L Stainless): Bossweld ER316L stainless steel TIG rods are the standard filler for welding 316L and 304 stainless steel in food processing, pharmaceutical, chemical, and marine fabrication. Available in multiple diameter options.
• Stick Electrodes (6013): Bossweld E6013 general-purpose rutile electrodes provide smooth, easy-start arc performance for mild steel welding in fabrication, maintenance, and repair applications. E6013 is the preferred electrode for lower-amperage AC machines and thin-section steel.
• MIG Drive Rollers & Tungsten Electrodes: Bossweld MIG wire drive rollers (replacement rollers for MIG feeder assemblies) and tungsten electrodes for TIG welding in various grades (pure, ceriated, lanthanated) to suit AC and DC TIG applications.
• LPG Hoses: Bossweld LPG hoses for oxy-LPG cutting and heating sets. Red (fuel gas) and blue (oxygen) hoses in standard 6mm and 10mm bore sizes. Must be correctly rated for LPG pressure — never substitute oxygen hose for fuel gas service.
• Stainless Steel Pickling Paste: Pelox stainless steel pickling and passivation paste chemically removes heat discolouration (heat tint), weld scale, and oxidation from stainless steel welds, restoring the passive layer and corrosion resistance. Essential post-weld treatment for food-grade and marine stainless fabrications.
• Welding Safety & Accessories: Magswitch magnetic ground clamps provide hands-free work positioning. CRC Weld Cleaning Pad provides mechanical weld cleaning. BossSafe shade 5 glasses provide eye protection for gas welding, cutting, and brazing at shade 5 optical density.

Welding Consumable Selection

• Match Filler to Base Metal: TIG and MIG filler materials must match or exceed the mechanical properties and chemical composition of the base metal. Using wrong filler materials compromises weld integrity and corrosion resistance.
• Stainless Post-Weld Treatment: Welding stainless steel destroys the passive oxide layer in the heat-affected zone (HAZ). Pickling and passivation must be applied to every stainless weld to restore corrosion resistance — especially in food, pharmaceutical, and marine environments.
