• AAP Socket (HT) Black Steel: A heavy-thread black steel socket for joining two male-threaded pipe ends in BSP pipework systems. Black steel sockets are the standard fitting for compressed air, gas service, fire protection, and general water lines where a cost-effective, high-strength threaded joint is required. The HT designation indicates a heavy-thread pattern providing greater thread engagement and pull-out resistance under pressure cycling. • AAP 90° Short Radius Elbow Buttweld Std: A 90-degree short-radius buttweld elbow in standard-wall carbon steel for changing pipeline direction in compact spaces where a long-radius elbow cannot be accommodated. Short-radius elbows have a centreline radius equal to the pipe nominal bore, compared to 1.5 times the bore for long-radius elbows, reducing the fitting face-to-face dimension in tight equipment layouts. Weld-end preparation is compatible with standard pipe wall and schedules for butt-welding to ASME or AS standards.
• AAP 90° Long Radius Elbow Buttweld X-Stg: A 90-degree long-radius elbow in extra-strong (XS/Schedule 80) wall carbon steel for high-pressure pipeline systems where standard-wall fittings do not provide the required pressure rating. Extra-strong fittings are specified on compressed air, steam, and high-pressure hydraulic lines, and on systems subject to erosive flow that would thin a standard-wall elbow below minimum acceptable wall thickness over its service life.
